In Loving Memory

Thomas Jefferson Overbeck

2/15/97 - 12/8/14

-Thomas Jefferson Overbeck-

On December 8th 2014, the community of  Dieterich lost one of its very few angels.  Thomas was more than just a classmate. He was the heartbeat of the school and the soul reason why almost anyone smiled during the day.  Whether he was talking to you about his future acting career or reinacting a battle from World War II, he always made your day every single time you talked to him.   No matter where you saw him, either out in public or just in the hallway you could not just wave and walk away. Thomas was irresistable to talk to.    He always had something inappropriately hilarious or something that boosted your confidence to say.  Baseball was a big part of Thomas.  I dont have many memories of baseball because I didnt play, but he always talked to me about the most recent game and was either frustrated or ecstatic depending on the result.  The baseball team always treated Thomas with the most respect and it was clear that he was a big part of the team.  Thomas lived for The Walking Dead.  Every Monday after the Sunday show he would give his input on literally every scene from the Walking Dead and predict what would happen on the next episode, which he would always predict right.  It still feels unreal that Thomas is not here with us today, but I think we can all agree that he went to a better place and will be watching over all of us until it is our time to join him. We love you Thomas, and we always will. Fly high man.
